FOSLS joins with WA State Parks every New Years Day to host the First Day Hike at Lake Sylvia.  We host the event with refreshments and help lead some of the various hikes around the lake for a refreshing start to the New Year.

Lake Sylvia Fall Festival

FOSLS hosts the annual Lake Sylvia Fall Festival each year as a way to bring people out to enjoy the park in the off season.  This tribute to fall is much anticipated each year and the proceeds raised by FOSLS are used for maintenance and improvements to our local parks.

Yule Log Celebration

Lake Sylvia Fall Festival

Every December FOSLS hosts an old fashioned Yule Log Celebration at Schafer State Park.  This celebration is a resurrection of the historic Yule Log celebration held at this park in the 1950's and 1960's and is a great way to celebrate the Holiday season with the family and friends.
